As for the datejust I think much the same way as you do. It’s just a watch; strip away the hype and you have a competent design with some advantages and some disadvantages.

The champagne dial is interesting, depending on lighting, it can be nearly as white as a silver dial (sunlight), or as yellow as a gold dial (indoor, low light).
