From 12 to 19 July Cowes Yacht Haven will play host to the 2014 edition of Panerai British Classic Week, the only event of the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge series in the UK.
Following a feeder race from the Royal Solent Yacht Club’s Taittinger Regatta and a welcome BBQ at Cowes Corinthian Yacht Club, racing kicked off on day one with the Forts Race sponsored by Spirit Yachts. In the evening, regatta guests enjoyed drinks and canapés at the Royal Yacht Squadron.From 12 to 19 July, Cowes Yacht Haven will play host to the 2014 edition of Panerai British Classic Week. Once again classic yachts from across the UK and Europe will come together to race and celebrate all that is best in classic yachting with some 50 yachts participating in this tenth anniversary edition of the regatta.Day 5 of the currently running Panerai British Classic Week 2014 was marked by the Long Inshore race, sponsored by Classic Boat, in association with Wight Vodka. The week has been blessed with truly amazing weather, and on Day 5, the fleet was once again caressed with hot sunshine as well as balmy breezes.

Classic yachts from across the UK as well as Europe will once again gather to race and celebrate all that is best in classic yachting, with some 50 yachts attending this year’s tenth anniversary edition of the regatta.
Today, July 14, saw the Panerai British Classic Week 2014 get off to an amazing start off UK’s Cowes, with an opening race in dappled sunlight under scudding clouds and a variable west to northwesterly wind ranging from sub ten to almost twenty knots.
Day two of Panerai British Classic Week in Cowes featured the Around the Island Race sponsored by EFG International for Classes 1 to 4 and a further Solent race for the 8 Metres. For those going around the Island it was a day of mixed conditions.
