This is hands down the best iteration of patchouli that Chanel has ever made, better than the EDP, better and different than Coco Mademoiselle and Coco Noir. Basically it is a peppery,herbal, spicy patchouli. I found that Coco Noir has combined my favourite topnotes from Coco Mademoiselle and Allure Sensuelle into one bottle. And there is a note I really like – I don’t know what it is called, but it smells sharp like camphor – that I detect in Coco (EDT), Coco Mademoiselle and Thierry Mugler Alien. This Jacques Polge masterpiece, with its floral notes and soft-oriental, amber-rich fragrance, is a sensual perfume that is warm and spicy, earthy and woody all at the same time. If you love patchouli, you’ll appreciate it because this . I like Allure Sensuelle and the original Allure EDP is lovely. Perhaps the original Allure EDP would be more your style?
